Meg Anderson

Meg Anderson is a retired senior executive and former VP-Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Principal Financial Group®, where she led the vision and execution of the company's enterprise-wide cybersecurity and cyber risk strategy for over 17 years. Meg is now a member of the faculty of IANS (Institute for Applied Network Security) where she continues to share her experience and problem-solving with clients across all industries. As CISO, Meg was responsible for safeguarding customer data, ensuring regulatory compliance across global operations, and protecting critical assets in an ever evolving and expanding threat landscape. Meg’s contributions to the cybersecurity field were honored in 2025 when she was inducted into the CSO Hall of Fame.
